Artificial Intelligence, Automated Access, Scraping, and Data Use Policy

Unless expressly authorized in advance in writing by an authorized member of our executive team, you may not use the website, services, content, databases, APIs, files, media, metadata, or other information made available through our platforms for automated, bulk, commercial, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or data-extraction purposes.

This policy applies to Deaf Church Where and related Deaf Bible Society platforms and services. It is in addition to our Terms of Service.

Without our prior written permission, you may not:

• Scrape, crawl, spider, harvest, extract, download, copy, collect, or otherwise obtain content or data from our website or services through automated means.
• Use bots, scripts, crawlers, agents, browser automation, headless browsers, batch-processing tools, automated queries, or similar technologies to access or process our content or systems.
• Mass process, batch process, systematically query, or systematically download information from our website, services, databases, or APIs.
• Use any content, data, images, text, video, audio, metadata, records, or other materials obtained from us to train, retrain, fine-tune, evaluate, benchmark, ground, augment, or otherwise develop an artificial intelligence, machine-learning, large-language-model, computer-vision, generative-AI, or similar automated system.
• Use our content or data as part of a dataset, corpus, vector database, embedding database, knowledge base, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) system, model-training dataset, or similar collection.
• Republish, redistribute, repurpose, repackage, market, license, sublicense, monetize, profit from, sell, rent, transfer, or commercially exploit our content or data.
• Create competing products, services, databases, directories, datasets, applications, AI systems, or derivative commercial offerings using information obtained from our website or services.
• Export, transfer, download, or otherwise remove data from our systems in bulk or for use outside the ordinary functionality provided by our services.
• Access, query, integrate with, reverse engineer, or otherwise use any of our APIs, whether public-facing or undocumented, except pursuant to express written authorization from our executive team.
• Circumvent technical restrictions, rate limits, access controls, robot-exclusion instructions, authentication mechanisms, anti-bot technologies, or other measures designed to prevent or limit automated access or extraction.
• Direct, encourage, enable, or assist any third party to engage in any prohibited activity described in this policy.

No data, content, records, datasets, media, user information, metadata, or other information obtained through our website, services, systems, or APIs may be exported, bulk downloaded, transferred to another platform, incorporated into an external database, or otherwise removed for external processing without our prior written permission.

We expressly reserve all rights with respect to the use of our content and data for artificial intelligence, machine learning, data mining, text and data mining, model development, model training, and similar computational uses.

The availability of content through a publicly accessible webpage does not constitute permission to scrape, reproduce, extract, index for AI purposes, train on, or commercially exploit that content.

Access to our website is intended primarily for individual human users using the functionality we intentionally provide. Automated access, including access performed through software agents or AI agents acting on behalf of a user, is prohibited unless we have expressly authorized such access in writing.

We may impose rate limits, block IP addresses, suspend accounts, revoke credentials, restrict access, or implement other technical measures when we reasonably believe automated, excessive, abusive, unauthorized, or prohibited activity is occurring.

Any request to scrape, export, reproduce, integrate, commercially use, train on, batch process, or otherwise use our content or data outside the ordinary intended use of our services must receive prior written approval from an authorized member of our executive team.

Permission for one particular use does not constitute permission for any other use and may be subject to additional contractual terms, fees, technical limitations, security requirements, attribution requirements, or usage restrictions.

Unauthorized scraping, automated access, data extraction, data export, API access, AI training, commercial exploitation, or other prohibited use may result in immediate suspension or termination of access.

We reserve the right to pursue all remedies available under applicable contracts, intellectual-property laws, computer-access laws, privacy laws, unfair-competition laws, and other applicable laws.

You are responsible for any losses, costs, damages, or expenses arising from your unauthorized use of our systems, content, or data to the extent permitted by applicable law.
